Waxing in Bournemouth and Poole

I offer online scheduling using BookFresh

I have a waxing Master certificate. I promise to restore your faith in having waxing done. My service and aftercare are some of the best you will experience. Please try and moisturise and exfoliate a day or two before your appointment with me.

Waxing - I use Berins wax for sensitive areas like bikini and the face. Its a hard wax that comes off without strips and does not pull the skin. Redness and pain is much less with this type of wax. Its the most expensive and best wax on the market. Jasmine oil is applied before and after your waxing as it prevents the wax from sticking to your skin.

For all other areas I now use Perron Rigot wax. Its a hypoallergenic strip wax with a special formula using synthetic resin. Rosin-free, fragrance-free and suitable for the most sensitive types of skin. Removal is gentler and more effective than the cheap brands that are normally used.

I specialise in Brazilian/Hollywood waxing. You will need to take your underwear off for this procedure as I use a special wax and this is the only way to remove all the hair.

What wax do Chill Out use?

We use the best! Cheap waxes typically use inferior raw materials resulting in finished products with inferior performance and safety characteristics.High quality hard or no-strip waxes are primarily formulated with natural resins and copolymers with secondary ingredients rounding out the profile of the product. The quality of the resin and the precise percentage of copolymers determine how the wax “performs.”

I promise you that you will never want to go back to cheap wax once you have tried my system.

Its my first time and Im worried about having a Brazilian/Hollywood!

Dont worry at all. I have done lots of these. I am very gentle and because of the wax I use its really not that bad. The first time will always be a little more sensitive than when you have it done regularly. I will do the front section first and depending on how you feel we will either stop and do the rest another day or carry on if you are comfortable. Please dont be embaressed all Im interested in is getting the hair off.

How sanitary is waxing?

Very!! There is NO risk of cross contamination. The wax is used straight from the pot and applied using gloved hands and a spatula and removed using paper strips which are disposed of after each treated area.

Will I get in growing hairs?

No, not everyone gets in growing hairs but as hairs get weaker, you can become more prone to a few now and then. The best way to stop any from occurring is to exfoliate 3 – 4 days after treatment and then continue every week 2 – 3 times. In addition, by using a good moisturiser after bathing/showing will also help to keep the skin soft and help the hairs push through the skins surface.

How should I prepare for my treatment?

The optimum hair length for waxing is 1/4 inch (6mm). If the hair is longer it should be trimmed down. The skin should be clean and a loose cotton t-shirt worn to avoid any aggravation after your treatment.

What about aftercare?

These basic steps will reduce the risk of pimples (Folliculitus) forming.

We recommend you bring / wear loose clothing for post treatments, dependent on which area is treated

· Do not use deodorants for at least 6 hours after under arm treatments
· Do - apply antiseptic cream to treated areas 3 times in the 24 hours following treatment.
· Do - if your skin feels hot after treatment, bathe with a cold salt water solution regularly in the hours following treatment, this reduces inflammation and speeds up the healing process. (Add half a teaspoon of salt to one cup of boiling water and chill).
· Do - apply sun block daily to prevent sunlight from interfering with the healing process for 2-3 days following treatment.
· Do - wear loose clothing.
· Do Not - expose the skin to sun, sunlight or sunbeds for 48 hours.
· Do Not - use a steamroom, sauna or any heat treatment for 24 hours.
· Do Not - have a bath or shower for 24 hours.
· Do Not - swim in chlorinated water for 24 hours.
· Do Not - do aerobics or any exercise for 24 hours.
· Do Not - apply any heat or friction to the skin whatsoever.
· Do Not - apply any moisturisers or body lotions, other than those recommended by your therapist for 24 hours.
· Do Not - apply body sprays or deodorants or perfume for 24 hours.
· Do Not - apply talc, make up or false tan for 24 hours.
· Do Not - wear tights, leggings, or tight fitting clothing for 24 hours.
· Do Not - massage the area for 24 hours.

Most people find the hair will start to re-grow within 7-10 days following treatment. The hair needs to be a certain length in order to successfully remove it by waxing. Allow 4 weeks before your next treatment. Immediately after treatment, the area may be red or slightly inflamed, we apply a cooling lotion after the treatment

A full range of aftercare products can be purchased from my salon.
